High Spirit - Sip Solo or Serve the Party Recipes

Pierce Wylie

Most bottles sit on a shelf looking interesting and doing nothing. High Spirit isn’t that bottle.

It was built to be poured, neat over ice, mixed into something worth making, or scaled up for a crowd that deserves better than whatever is sitting at the bottom of a punch bowl.

Below are two ways to do exactly that. The Hibiscus Horizon is a single-serve that takes about four minutes and looks like you spent twenty. The High Spirit Punch Bowl is a full-bottle group option, built for a backyard, a dinner party, or anywhere you want to be the most interesting person in the room.

Both are easy. Neither requires a bartending degree. Pick your occasion and get to work.

Hibiscus Horizon (Single serve · 1 High Spirit shot (1.5oz))

Ingredients (for 5mg or 10mg per shot):

  • 1.5 oz (1 shot) High Spirit Bottle
  • 3 oz Sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Honey syrup (1:1 honey + warm water)
  • 2–3 leaves Fresh mint
  • Handful of Ice
  • Garnish Lime wheel + dried hibiscus flower

Directions:

  1. Muddle mint leaves gently in the bottom of a highball glass — bruise, don't destroy.
  2. Fill the glass with ice. Add lime juice and honey syrup, stir to combine.
  3. Measure and pour one 1.5oz shot of High Spirit directly over the ice.
  4. Top with sparkling water. Give it one slow stir from the bottom up.
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel and a hibiscus flower. Hand it to someone and watch their face.
